FURTHER PRIZE DETAILS
The American Gold Eagle is one of the world’s best-known modern gold coins, first introduced by the United States Mint in 1986.
This quarter-ounce edition has a $10 face value and contains exactly 0.2500 troy ounce of fine gold. It has a gross weight of 8.483g, measures 22mm in diameter and is struck in durable 22ct gold, with a composition of 91.67% gold, 3% silver and 5.33% copper.
The obverse features Augustus Saint-Gaudens’ celebrated full-length figure of Liberty holding a torch and olive branch.
The reverse carries the original American Gold Eagle family design by Miley Busiek, showing a male eagle carrying an olive branch above a nest containing a female eagle and hatchlings.
Struck at the West Point Mint and bearing the W mint mark, this example is attributed by PCGS to the 10th Anniversary Set and has been awarded the impressive grade of PR69DCAM.
The coin remains securely sealed inside its PCGS certification holder, preserving both the coin and its independently assigned grade.
