Description

Description
THE CASK WHISPERER – PORT CHARLOTTE 27 YEAR OLD
A RARE ISLAY SINGLE CASK FROM ONE OF SCOTLAND’S MOST RESPECTED DISTILLERIES
A truly exceptional independent bottling from Port Charlotte, showcasing decades of maturation and the unmistakable character of Islay whisky.
Distilled in 2001 and bottled in 2019, this remarkable 17-year-old Port Charlotte single malt spent over a quarter of a century maturing in a sherry cask, developing incredible depth, complexity and character.
A whisky of this age from Port Charlotte is a rare find — combining the distillery’s signature coastal peat smoke with the rich influence of long sherry maturation.
Expect an extraordinary balance of deep smoke, dark fruits, aged oak, dried raisins, rich chocolate, spice, maritime salt and elegant peat, with layers that only decades in cask can create.
Released as part of The Cask Whisperer series, this is a true collector’s bottle for those who appreciate rare Islay single casks.
