A richer, deeper take on the unmistakable character of Talisker — combining the rugged maritime style of the Isle of Skye with an indulgent second maturation in Amoroso-seasoned casks.
Initially matured in refill American and European oak, Talisker Distillers Edition undergoes a second maturation in Amoroso-seasoned, heavily re-charred American oak, adding luscious fruit and sweetness to the distillery’s signature smoke, sea salt and peppery spice.
Bottled at 45.8% ABV, expect coastal sea air and smoky malt alongside sweet sultanas, followed by rich roasted fig, dates, peat smoke, sea salt and peppery spice. The finish is long and powerful, with lingering smoke, cocoa and a beautifully balanced sweet-dry character.
Released in limited quantities as part of the annual Distillers Edition collection, this is a brilliant step up for Talisker fans — familiar enough to showcase the distillery’s famous coastal character, but with an extra layer of rich, Sherried depth.
