Sony A7R VI & Sony FE 400mm f4.5 GM OSS Lens

1st Prize
SONY A7R VI

The A7R VI combines a 66.8MP Exmor RS sensor, BIONZ XR2 processor, and an integrated AI unit to bring A1-style speed to Sony’s A7R line. With increased readout speed, it shoots up to 30fps blackout-free with reliable tracking, pre-capture, and 16 stops of dynamic range. Recording extends to 8K 30p and oversampled 4K video, with up to 8.5 stops of stabilisation at the centre. This combination shifts the A7R series beyond traditional high-resolution bodies, pairing flagship-level speed with the resolution and flexibility the line is known for.

Sony FE 400mm f4.5 GM OSS Lens

Bringing Sony’s G Master super-telephoto primes into a lighter, more accessible class, the Sony FE 400mm f4.5 GM gives wildlife and sports photographers 400mm reach in a 994g design built for longer days of handheld shooting. Together with the new 600mm f6.3 GM, it extends Sony’s high-resolution optics, XD Linear Motor autofocus and Optical SteadyShot into a new class of lightweight super-telephoto primes. By combining an f4.5 aperture with fast subject tracking and teleconverter support in a body weighing under 1kg, Sony has made G Master super-telephoto reach more practical to carry, quicker to reposition and easier to work with away from a tripod.
