Stanley is back, one of my favourite Mini's to date!

Fully restored in recent years to an outstanding level this included wings, front panel, front floor sections, rear valance, A panels and much more, only heritage panels were used. Then Stanley was given a fresh coat of this original Mace brown paint, this is one of my personal favourite mini colours as it's just so period! All new bright work, grill and powder coated original bumpers. Being a Mini HL they had some differences, chrome rear opening windows, Clubman bumpers, dipping rear view mirror and a funky interior (more on that shortly). The original and now super rare 10 inch centre caps have been fully restored plus decals and black mirrors finish the totally original exterior off perfectly.


He's just had a FULL detail from Time To Shine Doncaster, this includes, decontamination wash, paint cut & polish, stainless steel and chrome refurbishment, engine bay steam and detail and a full interior deep clean. His paints popping like never before!

Stepping into Stanley you are greeted with a feast for the eyes and a 80's celebration! The stunning newton commercial plaid gold tan interior is like new having only been fitted in 2021 and seeing barely any use, to give you an idea of the quality of this restoration this was £2200. All new door cards and carpets plus the mint original door furniture just add to the feeling of newness! The original perfect condition steering wheel and clocks housing all the important info, black top and bottom dash rail and gearknob finish Stanley off perfectly.

Under the bonnet the new feel continues with the freshly rebuilt original 998cc engine, this was done in 2019 and included a reground crank, new pistons, rings, honed bores, new valves with unleaded seats, new shells, timing chain tensioner, oil pump and main bearing and seals. The list goes on (£1650 plus parts)! At the same time he had a gearbox rebuild by John Guessworks and the addition of central oil pickup pipe, cross pin diff and windage tray (£1043.99). A new distributor and alternator were also fitted at the same time. Subframes have been fully stripped and powder coated, rear arms re-bushed and all new bushes and bearings were also fitted. A brand new wiring loom has also been fitted. Fully rolling road set up making 44 BHP and 46.2 ibft. He's travelled just 905 Miles in 2 years. All the usual prep work has just been carried out.

This Mini is as close to new and original as you will ever find and just has "that" feeling! Utter perfection! No expense had been spared on Stanleys restoration and he's full of charm! This process was fully documented and he comes with 2 files full of invoices totalling an eye watering amount but how much is ever too much to spend on our charming little friends....
