An excellent genuine World War II U.S. Army combination consisting of an original .30 calibre machine gun ammunition tin and a 250-round cloth ammunition belt for the Browning M1919 machine gun.
The ammunition tin is a genuine wartime example featuring the iconic U.S. flaming grenade insignia and is maker-marked REEVES. It remains a desirable unrefurbished example in very fine condition.
Accompanying the tin is a scarce original 250-round cloth belt, maker-marked RMC and dated 1942. The belt is in near-mint to almost mint condition, making it an outstanding collector’s piece.
Original WWII Browning M1919 accessories in this condition are becoming increasingly difficult to find. The .30 calibre Browning machine gun served in every theatre of World War II and was present in virtually every major American campaign and battle, making this an attractive and historically significant display set for the serious militaria collector.
A rare and highly collectible WWII U.S. machine gun accessory combination.
