Let’s help Charlie and his lad rebuild
On 16th October 2026, a devastating fire destroyed Charlie’s workshop, taking everything with it.
His banger cars, tools, equipment and years of hard work were all lost. Sadly, there was no insurance to cover the damage.
But perhaps the most heartbreaking part of this story is what the fire has taken from Charlie’s young son, also called Charlie.
Father and son had been building a banger together, with the dream that one day, when young Charlie was old enough, his dad could hand him the car and everything they’d built together.
In Charlie’s own words:
“It was all mostly for him. He lost his car and all the tools to build it. I was hoping one day, when he was old enough, I could say to him, there you go, it’s all yours.”
Charlie has supported charity and memorial race meetings over the years, including racing his Crash for Cancer van to help raise money for cancer charities.
Now it’s our turn to try and give something back.

Every ticket purchased helps us work towards making a donation to the GoFundMe organised by Doug Stuart.
The money raised will help Charlie replace essential equipment, including banger cars, a welder, compressor, tyre machine, steel, cutters and general workshop tools.
Most importantly, we hope it helps Charlie and his son get back to building cars and making memories together.
