BOWMORE 22 YEAR OLD – SAUTERNES CASK FINISH
A beautifully mature 22-year-old Islay single malt, combining Bowmore’s unmistakable coastal smoke with the rich sweetness of hand-selected Sauternes wine casks.
Initially matured in American white oak ex-Bourbon casks, this exceptional Bowmore is then finished in Sauternes wine barriques sourced from Bordeaux, adding layers of honeyed fruit and sweetness to the distillery’s signature peat and maritime character.
Bottled at 48% ABV, expect aromas of ripe clementine, lemon, heathery peat, honeycomb and vanilla, followed by a rich palate of green grapes, baked apple, cinnamon and candied ginger. The finish is gloriously sweet, with lingering runny honey, butterscotch and vanilla.
