Further Prize Details

The medal is dated MMVI, the Roman-numeral representation of 2006. Its front combines a central portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with scenes reflecting royal, military and equestrian life. The surrounding inscriptions commemorate the Queen’s 80th birthday and Prince Philip’s 85th birthday.

The reverse carries a large relief interpretation of St George and the Dragon, together with the date 2006 and a 999 fineness mark.

This is a privately issued commemorative medal rather than legal-tender coinage. It is a previously owned piece and has been professionally tested and verified by Gold Bank Jewellers.
