FURTHER PRIZE DETAILS
This limited-edition South African Mint set brings together four beautifully struck 2024 proof Krugerrands in fractional sizes.
Each coin is struck in the traditional Krugerrand composition of 22ct gold, consisting of 91.667% gold and 8.333% copper. The copper alloy gives Krugerrands their distinctive warm colour and greater durability.
The individual coin specifications are:
1/4oz Krugerrand: 8.482g and 22mm diameter
1/10oz Krugerrand: 3.393g and 16.5mm diameter
1/20oz Krugerrand: 1.697g and 12mm diameter
1/50oz Krugerrand: 0.679g and 8mm diameter
The four coins have a combined gross weight of 14.251g and contain a total of 0.42 troy ounces of fine gold.
The obverse features the famous portrait of former South African President Paul Kruger, originally created by Otto Schultz.
The reverse carries Coert Steynberg’s iconic springbok antelope, one of South Africa’s most recognisable national symbols.
The coins are housed in individual protective capsules within a substantial wooden South African Mint presentation case. The set is accompanied by its official documentation and a certificate of authenticity numbered 114, which records a limited edition of just 150 sets.
