This historic release features the first definitive coinage portrait of His Majesty King Charles III on the obverse, designed by Martin Jennings.

The reverse commemorates Queen Elizabeth II with a design inspired by the 1953 Coronation Crown. It displays the four quarters of the Royal Arms around a central crown, with the national emblems of the United Kingdom positioned between them.
